Game of Thrones: Westeros opens to the public in Northern Ireland
Game of Thrones fans can browse the realm of the series at 40 40 million in Northern Ireland.
Game of Thrones fans are invited to enter the world of Westeros in a 40 40 million attraction, which houses sets, costumes and interactive games, inspired by the much-loved TV drama.
The Game of Thrones Studio Tour opened at Linen Mill, one of the series' filming locations in Northern Ireland. The sets of the Great Hall of Winterfell and Castle Black have remained there since the end of filming in 2018.
Based on the novels "A Song of Ice and Fire" by American author George RR Martin, "Game of Thrones", which premiered in 2011, became a global phenomenon. The HBO award-winning series ended in 2019 with a finale that divided fans.
"Fans will just be happy with a studio tour, because what they see here was used in the show," said actor Ian Beattie, who played Meryn Trant.
"These are the real scenes we walked in. These are the real costumes we wore, the swords we waved, they are all here. And unlike the show where you do not see everything, you will really get to see the incredible detail that went into each aspect of creating this show, "he said.
The Game of Thrones Studio Tour opens to the public on Friday.
House of the Dragon
The prequel "House of the Dragon" , which takes place 200 years before the history of the original series, is scheduled to premiere this year. "House of the Dragon" tells the story of the dynasty of the legendary House of Targaryen, the first kings of Kings Landing.
