In a statement, the company unequivocally condemned the Russian attack on Ukraine , noting that it has tragic consequences for both the Ukrainian people and peace in Europe.
TotalEnergies has had significant placements in Russia for the past thirty years, both in the oil and oil sector. According to the APE-MPE, it is, among others, a shareholder in the company Novatek (19.4%), 23.5% of which is controlled by Putin's close ally, Gennady Timchenko.
