War in Ukraine: US blames Russia for mass child abductions
Ukraine announced that 2,839 children had moved to Russian territory from Donbass and that the Americans had spoken of kidnappings by the Russians.
This is not the first time it has been written. But this time we are dealing with data officially provided by the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry and reproduced by the US Embassy in Kyiv with particularly harsh characterizations of Russia.
According to the Ukrainians , 2839 children have been transferred, against their will, from Donetsk and Lugansk to areas of Russia that are not identified.
The Americans in their comments are strongly critical and characteristically state: "Here we are not dealing with help, but with kidnapping".
However, more details are not given to the public. It is not clear, say, if we are talking about unaccompanied minors about the ages of the children who have been transferred to Russian territory.
However, two days before the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin had recognized the democratic republics of Lugansk and Donetsk, areas inhabited by many Russian-speakers.
