Tragedy in Haiti
At least 20 people drowned and another 58 are missing after a boat full of illegal immigrants sank in northern Haiti
The 10-meter-long boat, carrying about 150 Haitians, sank early this morning shortly after it was spotted by a Turkish authorities boat on the Turks and Caicos Islands. It is believed that his destination was the United States, which is about 900 kilometers from the site of the wreck. Since the beginning of January, the US Coast Guard has arrested 909 Haitians who were trying to reach the US illegally.
