Austria: Kurtz's immunity lifted - Papadimoulis peaks for Mitsotakis
The Austrian parliament is lifting Kurtz's immunity, which is being investigated for corruption. The comment - nail of Dimitris Papadimoulis for the Mitsotakis government.
Austrian parliament to lift immunity of former Chancellor Sebastian Kurtz today, Thursday (18/11), as planned and unanimously.
It is recalled that in early October, the former chancellor resigned after anti-corruption investigators conducted an investigation in his chancellery's office.
There are allegations that Kurtz and his team have embellished investigations and paid with taxpayers' money to facilitate Kurtz's rise to power.
As a result, Kurtz had moved to parliament as a Member of Parliament, where he had previously enjoyed immunity. Now this immunity has been lifted and the investigations against him can continue.
The comment - nail of Dimitris Papadimoulis
The lifting of Kurtz's immunity was commented by the SYRIZA MEP, Dimitris Papadimoulis , leaving tips for similar tactics by Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
"He resigned as prime minister and Kurtz's immunity is lifted. Why did he give € 1 million in public money to manipulate public opinion and the media. Compared to the public money given and given by the ND government for the same job, Kurtz is a kitten ahead to Mitsotakis! ", wrote Dimitris Papadimoulis on Twitter.
