Boris Johnson: He confused his notes and started talking about Peppa the Pig
The British Prime Minister lost his words and after apologizing repeatedly resorted to his favorite cartoon, Peppa the Pig, in order to emphasize the power of British creativity.
The Boris Johnson lost his words and took refuge in his favorite child during the annual conference of British business Monday morning.
Looking for his notes and repeatedly apologizing, the British Prime Minister said: "Yesterday I went, as we should all do, to Peppa Pig World" and added by asking "Who have you been there? ... Not enough. I was hesitant but I loved it" he said explaining that the world of this animation is a place that suits it because it has safe roads, discipline in schools and puts a lot of emphasis on new public transportation systems. "I 'm surprised you did not go."
But beyond all this, Peppa the Pig proves the power of British creativity, as Boris Johnson characteristically stated. "Who would have thought that a pig that looks like a hair dryer or, worse, a Picasso-style hair dryer, a pig that was rejected by the BBC would now be exported to 180 countries with theme parks in the US and China.
A company that brings 6 billion pounds to the country and continues to count. "I believe that Peppa Pig is a real genius and no other government in the world would think of such a thing."
Boris Johnson's chaotic speech was criticized by Labor Party Rachel Reeves. "It shows how lax it is with British companies and the lack of a government plan to grow them. Nobody laughed because it is no longer funny."
