Dutch students made alcohol in powder form, Booz 2go, as they called it, which they have in 20-gram sachets instead of 1-1.5 euros each and which is expected to be a surprise, as it bypasses the ban on the sale of alcohol to people under the age of 16 years old.
The alcoholic powder when mixed with water turns into a sparkling aromatic drink with only 3% alcohol content. According to Martin van Nierop, who came up with the idea for the new product with four of his classmates, "because alcohol is not in liquid form, it can be sold to people under the age of 16."
Booz 2go has already attracted the interest of some companies who want to promote it in the market. These companies will additionally have the advantage of not paying taxes, because the product is not in liquid form.
